Medical Conditions
This one-day workshop provides an essential overview and awareness of how to use massage therapy to help alleviate symptoms and aid healing in a wide variety of medical conditions.
This workshop is ISRM-accredited, approved by the CThA and the FHT, and provides 14 hours of CPD training.
It is not the role of the massage therapist to consider making a medical diagnosis.
It is, however, important to be aware of the implications for treatment of commonly occurring medical conditions
In most cases massage cannot cure the condition but is used to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.
We will be looking at disorders of the:
- Respiratory system
- Circulatory system
- Gastrointestinal system
- Central Nervous system
- Peripheral nervous system
- Post-operative treatment of scars
